Here is an overview of the three camps at Standing Rock with some orienting features of recent events. The land that Oceti Sakowin is on is Army Corps land, and is within the floodplain of the Cannonball river. The land north of the Oceti Sakowin is Morton County and the land below Oceti Sakowin is Standing Rock Sioux land.

It is estimated that 10,000 plus water protectors are now residing here, with several thousand Veterans coming in the next few days.
Oceti Sakowin is already the 10th most populated town in all of North Dakota.
