We were impressed by the beauty growing out of the stone, and she stopped and said ” beautiful aren’t they? And they live off of nothin. And if you try to plant them they won’t grow. You just have to let them come”

      One question I’m asking is: How is my ancestry living through me today? Seeing the resilience of plant life living off of rock spoke to me as a poetic metaphor of the difficult times and resilient spirit of irish culture.
